World Heavyweight Championship: Edge (c) vs. Batista
A fairly good match. Batista went for the Batista Bomb, but Edge dropped down and gave Batista a nutshot to get DQ'd. As Edge celebrated retaining his title Teddy Long came out and ordered that the match restart and Edge would lose the title if he got Dq'd again. After the match restarted Batista and Edge were fighting outside of the ring and Batista tried preventing Edge from getting counted out and threw him back in the ring, but he (Batista) didn't make it back in on time. He lost the match along with any future title shots against Edge.

John Cena (c) vs. Mick Foley vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Randy Orton vs. King Booker (w/Queen Sharmell)
I still don't understand why Foley was even in the match. I'll go right to the end - Typical ending where each guy is taken out leaving 2 men standing. It was Cena and Foley. Cena FU'd and pinned Foley to keep the title.
Dave: 1/2
Me: 1/2
Montel Vontavious Porter (c) vs. Ric Flair
An okay match at best. MVP retains after the Playmaker. Is there heat between Flair and Magnum TA from their NWA days? He barely acknowledged TA at ringside before the match.
Dave: 1/3
Me: 2/3
Chavo Guerrero (c) vs. Jimmy Wang Yang
I still don't care. Prior to the match a video aired honoring a former Cruiserweight Champion. In this case, Eddie Guererro (during his WCW days?). When they aired the video I knew that Chavo was not going to lose the match. Yang lost.
Dave: 1/4
Me: 2/4
Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch (c) vs. The Hardys (Matt and Jeff)
I knew (as Dave probably did as well) that C&M had too much momentum to lose the belt and match. A good match. Hardys lose and fail to regain the belts.
Dave: 2/5
Me: 3/5
Melina (c) vs. Candice Michelle
I was right to go against the traditional wrestling logic. While Candice will never be on the level of Trish, Lita, or Mickie James as far a ability goes she has made a ton or progress in the past few months. She deserved to get the win and she did. After the match she seemed genuinely honored to be representing the women's division.
Dave: 2/6
Me: 4/6
Santino Marella (c) vs. Umaga
Who cares? Umaga got DQ'd after failing to follow the ref's instructions.
Dave: 2/7
Me: 4/7
Chris Benoit vs. CM Punk
I couldn't hear the sound all that well so I am not sure if there's an angle to explain it, but Benoit was not there and Johnny Nitro took his place. An above average match which Nitro won after a swinging neckbreaker. I'm not sure if Nitro is World Title material yet. I am hoping that there will be an angle where it turns out that Nitro caused Benoit to miss the match wich will lead to a Nitro/Benoit feud where Benoit can get the ECW Title. I'm throwing this match out.
Deuce & Domino's Open Challenge
Boring match. The challenge was accepted by Sgt. Slaughter and Jimmy Snuka (Deuce's Dad). Snuka needs to hang up his boots for good. D & D wins. We didn't do picks for this match. Total:
Dave picked 2 of 7 matches correctly and I picked 4 of 7 correctly.

WWE Vengeance Predictions
World Heavyweight Championship: Edge (c) vs. Batista
Dave Says: I see Edge keeping the title. I've had a pretty good run picking Edge of late and I think I'll stick with it.
I Say: Edge is going to have the long title run that was intended for Undertaker before he got injured. For that reason I want to pick Edge. I was looking at SD's roster and there is no other main event good guys so I am going to pick Batista to win by DQ or Countout, or even have the match end in a draw. That way the feud can continue.
John Cena (c) vs. Mick Foley vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Randy Orton vs. King Booker (w/Queen Sharmell)
Dave Says: This is a tough one because I could see any of these guys winning besides Mick Foley. Bobby Lashley could win the trifecta having been champion in all three brands. King Booker could be given an immediate push upon entering RAW and Orton could receive a well earned second title run. I'm going to go with Lashley because the WWE seems particularly high on him.
I Say: Dave is right. Foley is not going to win the match. I too might tend to pick Lashley, but let's face it - The WWE Title is THE title in the industry. It's the title that everyone in the business wants to wear. All of these struggling wrestlers, whether it be in TNA or the local indies, who bash the WWE would do anything to wear the WWE Title for a single day. Back to Lashley - Yeah, he gets a big reaction, but he is weak on the mic and he's not well-rounded enought o hold the title. I will go with the safe pick and pick Cena.
Montel Vontavious Porter (c) vs. Ric Flair
Dave Says: God almight. Ric Flair has this horrible tendency to win with his chops an awkward back body drops. I'm going to go with Flair this time because every once in awhile the WWE feels compelled to throw Flair a bone for being a legend in the sport.
I Say: As much as I like Ric Flair, I don't see him winning the title. MVP is my pick, but there could be a DQ win for the Nature Boy. The only reason that Flair is on SD is as a mentor for the younger rosters of SD and ECW.
Chavo Guerrero (c) vs. Jimmy Wang Yang
Dave Says: Yeah, ok. I'll pick Jimmy Wang Yahng because he has a more interesting gimmick. I have nothing more to say on the subject.
I Say: I really don't care. The cruiserweight title is a joke right now. I too will pick Yang.
Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch (c) vs. The Hardys (Matt and Jeff)
Dave Says: I don't think the WWE would put the belts on Cade and Murdoch just to remove them right away. Cade and Murdoch will retain the titles
I Say: I see the Hardys having more title reigns in their careers, but not yet. C & M retain.
Melina (c) vs. Candice Michelle
Dave says: My honey Melina will win.
I Say: One of the WWE's oldest trick in the book is to have a wrestler defeat the champion numerous times and then fall short when the title is on the line. I am going against that philosophy here and picking Candice to win the belt.
Santino Marella (c) vs. Umaga
Dave Says: Umaga will destroy Marella. Umaga is not the type of character who holds a belt but in the occasion it seems innevitable. There is zero chance that Marella will get a clean victory over Umaga. The only way he might win is through DQ but I see Umaga winning.
I Say: Marella is a joke. The only reason that he has the title is because it helped get Lashley over during his feud with Umaga. I say that Umaga wins the title back and Estrada will make his return here or once Umaga captures the belt.
Chris Benoit vs. CM Punk
Dave Says: My crystal ball sees Benoit getting the championship.
I Say: I agree totally. Punk is the future of ECW. Benoit is the present. Benoit becomes ECW champion.
Summary
Dave says: Edge, Lashley, Flair, Yang, C&M, Melina, Umaga, & Benoit
I Say: Batista, Cena, MVP, Yang, C&M, Candice, Umaga, & Benoit

Street Fight for the ECW World ChampionshipVince McMahon (c) vs. Bobby LashleyThis actually turned out being a 3 on 1 handicap match with Shane and Umaga joining Vince in the match. Nothing really noteworthy, but Lashley did win and regain the title.Me: 1/1Dave: 1/1
Pinfalls Count Anywhere match for the WWE Championship
John Cena (c) vs. The Great Khali
One of Khali's better WWE matches, but that's not saying all that much. Most of the match seemed to be out of the ring. The ending came when Cena and Khali were fighting on top of the cab of a crane that was part of the set. Cena FU'd Khali off of the cab to an area hiding behind a barricade. The announcers sold the FU as being onto exposed concrete, but it was really the usual pile of cables. Cena got the pin to keep the title.

Steel cage match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Edge (c) vs. Batista
Typical cage match. Edge was trying to climb over the cage as Batista was trying to crawl out through the door. It looked as if Batista was taking a little longer than Edge had hoped. Edge looked like he stopped climbing down to allow Batista to get futher out the door before the finish. Edge's feet touched the ground before Batista could crawl completely out of the cage.

Ladder match for the World Tag Team Championship
The Hardys (Matt and Jeff) (c) vs. The World's Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas)
An above average ladder match. I don't remember any huge spot like the Hardys are known for though. Hardys win and retain.
Me: 4/4
Dave: 4/4
Non-Title Pudding match
Melina vs. Candice Michelle
A bad match - Even for a womens match. I don't recall any actual moves. It was basically a catfight which Candice won after holding Melina's head under the pudding forcing her to tap out. Maria tried interviewing Candice after the match, but Melina splashed her with pudding prompting her (Maria) to jump in after her. The referee was then pulled.
Me: 5/5

Six-man tables match
CM Punk and The ECW Originals (Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman) vs. The New Breed (Elijah Burke, Matt Striker and Marcus Cor Von)
Average match at best. Ending came when Striker was suplexed through Burke who was laid out on a table.
Me: 6/6
Dave: 5/6
Stretcher match
Randy Orton vs. Rob Van Dam
A lot of RVD kicks in the match. RVD did a decent job of acting disoriented in the match due to his previous 'concussion'. Just like I predicted - The WWE went for a swerve and had RVD winning. Orton had him on the stretcher and was about to roll it over the finish line, but RVD prevented it. He then put Orton on the stretcher as rolled it over the finish line. Orton then attacked RVD after the match and laid him out pretty well to explain RVD's WWE departure.
Me: 6/7
Dave: 5/7
Lumberjack Match
Kane vs. Mark Henry
A stupid match. That's all I say. Henry won.
Me: 7/8
Dave: 6/8
Total
For the 2nd PPV in a row I only missed one match. As for David he again made a strong showing with 6/8 picks correct.

WWE One Night Stand Predictions
Here are the picks for this weekend's One Night Stand PPV.
Street Fight for the ECW World ChampionshipVince McMahon (c) vs. Bobby LashleyI Say: In my predictions for Judgement Day 2 weeks ago I predicted that Vince would retain the title and end up dropping it at 1NS. I'm sticking with that pick and saying that Lashley finally regains the ECW Title here (Unless the WWE decides to drag this feud out even longer, but I doubt it).Dave Says: Bobby Lashley will regain the title.
Pinfalls Count Anywhere match for the WWE Championship
John Cena (c) vs. The Great Khali
I Say: I would be very surprised to see Cena drop the title to Khali. If he does that the WWE can't make him out to be a "giant-killer". I predict that Cena will win and give an FU to Khali which will be oversold by the announcers. Dave Says: You gotta be kidding me.... again. Khali will NOT win the WWE title so I have t (Note from Mysterious J - This is all that was contained in Dave's e-mail. I am assuming that he is picking John Cena)
Steel cage match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Edge (c) vs. Batista
I Say: I think that Edge will have the World Title for the foreseeable [sic?] future. There's no way that Batista will take the title here. If this was a regular match I would predict a Batista picking up the win, but not the title (DQ?). Since this is a steel cage match and things like DQs and count-outs don't exist I am going say that the match ends in a tie/draw. If there is a winner it will be Edge.
Dave Says: I think we're going to see Edge hold the title for awhile longer yet. I'm sorry. Did the mysterious 'J' accidently send me the matchups from the LAST PPV? This is ridiculous.
Ladder match for the World Tag Team Championship
The Hardys (Matt and Jeff) (c) vs. The World's Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas)
I Say: As I have for about the past year (or at least it seems like it) I am continuing to read that Vince does not want the Hardys to remain together, but rather have them each become singles wrestlers and only do tag matches with different partners. If I actually believed that I would pick the WGTT to win, but I am going to pick the Hardys. I am also predicting that Cade & Murdoch will turn on the Hardys since they (Hardys) gave a title shot to WGTT and not them (C&M). The Hardys will keep the titles though.
Dave Says: The Hardy's always win these matches and the World's Gretest Tag Teams best days are definitely in the past. A Hardy victory.
Non-Title Pudding match
Melina vs. Candice Michelle
I Say: As with all non-title matches - the champion will lose. I do see a chance that Melina will finally snap Candice's streak against her, but I'm still going to pick Candice.
Dave Says: As always. My honey Melina will win.
Six-man tables match
CM Punk and The ECW Originals (Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman) vs. The New Breed (Elijah Burke, Matt Striker and Marcus Cor Von)
I Say: This match is a little difficult to pick. I really want to pick Punk and the ECW Originals since I think that Punk will be headed to Raw in the draft and the WWE probably wants to keep him looking strong. On the other hand this could very well be the last we see of Dreamer for a while and Sandman forever. If the Internet stories are true, Dreamer will become a part-time wrestler at the most and the rest of his WWE duties will involve the development of the WWE's farm system. As for Sandman he is as good as gone from WWE since he's a joke at this point. I think he is one of the lowest skilled wrestlers in the WWE at this point. He is basically living off of his reputation as a drunk (kayfabe). Yes, I know that the same thing can be said about Flair (living off of a reputation), but Flair's reputation is as the greatest wrestler of all time. Back to this match. I see a realistic chance that The New Breed will win since they are being billed as the future of ECW, but I'll go with Punk and the ECW Originals. I really hope that Vince and Stephanie swallow their pride and bring back Paul E. and once again make him the figurehead of ECW. BTW, who will be picking the wrestlers for ECW in the draft? Remember, it's a draft and not a draft lottery where wrestlers are chosen at random.
Dave Says: I SO don't care but any team with Matt Striker will lose. CM Punk and crew for the victory.
Stretcher match
Randy Orton vs. Rob Van Dam
I Say: This is probably the easiest pick of the show (Watch, I'll get it wrong). Randy Orton will win. Even though he is likely still in the doghouse he needs to be kept looking strong. The WWE needs to keep top-level guys looking that way. Add to that the fact that RVD is on his way out and you have a sure win for Orton. This will likely be RVD's last WWE appearance (at least on TV). The WWE needs to eliminate all of his exposure to the fans until his contract ends later this summer. They need to get the fans to forget about him in case he jumps to TNA. They can't afford to have a Rick Rude/Lex Luger/Christian Cage/Kurt Angle situation. I do see a chane that the WWE may try a swerve by postponing RVD's last TV appearence and have him win here, but I'll stay with Orton.
Dave Says: This Randy gives everyone a concussion angle is particularly stupid and seeing RVD staring around all moony eyed Monday night made me feel embarrased for him. Orton will win and probably give RVD another concussion. It's like Deja Vu all over gain.
Lumberjack Match
Kane vs. Mark Henry
I Say: I really don't care who wins this match. Mark Henry is returning and the WWE for some odd reason see him as having a big upside and want to keep him looking strong. On the other hand, Kane is more than willing to put other guys over. Mark Henry wins and likely injures Kane in the process.
Dave Says: Whew, What a stinker of a PPV. Mark Henry will get push number 30 by squashing Kane before injuring himself and leaving wrestling for 6 months.
Summary
I picked: Lashley, Cena, Draw / Edge, Hardys, Candice, CM Punk & Originals, Orton, & Mark Henry
Dave Picked: Lashley, Cena ,Edge, Hardys, Melina, CM Punk & Originals, Orton, & Mark Henry
I will post results on Monday.
