WWE Unforgiven 2007 Results

Sorry that I didn't get to post this earlier, but I was trying to make some of those dolla dolla bills.

Triple Threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship
The Great Khali (c) vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Batista

It came down to Batista having to decide who he wanted to finish off. He swatted Rey away like he was Batista's bitch. Batista then finished off Khali to get the win and regain the title.
Me: 1/1
Dave: 1/1

WWE Championship
John Cena (c) vs. Randy Orton
This is is the only match that Me and Dave disagreed on. I was right in saying that Cena's rage would get him DQ'd. He wouldn't stop pummeling Orton in the corner and refused to back away like the ref ordered. Orton wins by DQ. After the match Orton pulled Cena's dad over the railing and was going to kick him in the head again. Cena stopped him and put Orton in the STFU so Cena Sr. could kick him in the face. I officially got more predictions correct since this was the deciding match.
Me: 2/2
Dave: 1/2

The Undertaker vs. Mark Henry
When Undertaker was suppossed to come out some old woman came hobbling out. Ooops. That was Undertaker. 'Taker wins. Need I say more.
Me: 3/3
Dave: 2/3

WWE Women's Championship
Candice Michelle (c) vs. Beth Phoenix

Candice won with a roll-up out of nowhere. A decent match though. I expect numerous rematches one of which will result in a Pheonix title win.
Me: 3/4
Dave: 2/4

World Tag Team Championship
Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch (c) vs. Paul London and Brian Kendrick

I don't remember much of the match. C & M won and retained though.
Me: 4/5
Dave: 3/5

WWE Tag Team Championship
Matt Hardy and Montel Vontavious Porter (c) vs. Deuce 'N Domino

I was late getting to the PPV so I only saw what happened after the match. I know that MVP and Hardy won though. From what I saw after the match it looks like Hardy did all the work. I say that because he grabbed both belts and I think that he left with both.
Me: 5/6
Dave: 4/6

No Disqualification match - The No DQ stipulation only applies to Carlito
Triple H vs. Carlito
A Triple H win. Imagine my shock and surprise.
Me: 6/7
Dave: 5/7

ECW Championship: CM Punk (c) vs. Elijah Burke
I missed this match too. I was told that C.M. Punk won and retained his title.
Me: 7/8
Dave: 6/8

Total
Once again I have come up short of perfection with a total of 7/8. Dave did pretty well himself though with a total of 6/8. I could go off and call Candice some sort of offensive name, but I think I'll pass.

WWE Unforgiven 2007 Predictions

I've got to be honest. For some reason I am not looking forward to this PPV as much as I normally do when a WWE holds a PPV. Let's get to the matches.

Triple Threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship
The Great Khali (c) vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Batista
I Say:
When this was just Khali v. Rey I would have said without a doubt that Rey was NOT going to walk away with the title. He would have probably won by DQ or something, but there was no way that he was going to get a clean win over Khali. I can go along with the whole 'suspension of disbelief' concept, but there was no way that Rey would have any chance or beating Khali. Since Batista is in the match I will say that Batista regains the title and then either resume his feud with Khali or go into friend v. friend feud with Rey. I wouldn't mind seeing Rey turn heel and get mad at Batista for being involved in the match.
Dave Says: I'm going to go with Batista. I have nothing to add besides that.

WWE Championship
John Cena (c) vs. Randy Orton
I Say:
I get the feeling that Cena will finally drop the title. Yeah, I know I always go against the rule that says 'Never pick against Cena' and then I always end up saying ' I should have gone with the rule, but this time I am fairly certain that Cena will drop the title. I do however had a little bit of doubt though. With all of Cena's rage it seems possible that Cena could go nuts and end up DQ'd. He'd still lose though. Bottom line. I'm saying that Orton will win and likely get the title.
Dave Says: Everything leans towards Cena. He hardly ever loses and this is his change for revenge. I would love to see Orton get the title but I just don't see it happening. WWE seems intent on making Cena their showcase wrestler (besides HHH).

The Undertaker vs. Mark Henry
I Say:
Just like Rey and Trips won in their return matches so will the Oldman. Ooops, I mean Deadman. One other prediction. Undertaker will get injured in the match unless it's a short match which seems likely. By the way, Why did the WWE resign Mark Henry?
Dave Say: Always Always Always pick Undertaker. Henry could win but it's not bloody likely.

WWE Women's Championship
Candice Michelle (c) vs. Beth Phoenix
I Say:
Although I always pick her to win, Candice is not one of my favorite Deevers. Beth is though, but that's not why I am picking her to win. I'm picking her to win because Candice's time with the belt seems to coming to an end.
Dave Says: I see Beth Phoenix winning the title in a squash. WHAT no Melina match? What kind of weak ass PPV is this?

World Tag Team Championship
Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch (c) vs. Paul London and Brian Kendrick
I Say:
I think that C & M will win and the feud with London and Kendrick will continue. That's all I have to say about that.
Dave Says: The RAW tag team division is pretty weak but I have to admit that I'm a big fan of Cade and Murdoch. I see them keeping the titles for now and winning the match.

WWE Tag Team Championship
Matt Hardy and Montel Vontavious Porter (c) vs. Deuce 'N Domino
I Say:
If I was booking the match I would keep the titles on Hardy and MVP so that's my pick. D & D seem a little stale. They have basically become the Highlanders of Smackdown. Has MVP been medically cleared to wrestle? Although the WWE did it a few weeks ago BEFORE TNA did it with Team Pacman, I hope that they WWE doesn't have Hardy do all of the work only to have MVP come in for a second and get the pinfall.
Dave Says: This may well be the match where Hardy and MVP break up but I think they might hold the titles a bit longer. I'm rooting for Deuce 'N Domino but I have a feeling they'll lose this one.

No Disqualification match - The No DQ stipulation only applies to Carlito
Triple H vs. Carlito
I Say:
In my heart I would hope that Triple H wouldn't destroy Carlito in a squash. I think that Triple H will make Carlito look good. I have some doubts as to whether he will do the J.O.B on the P.P.V. for C.C.C. Triple H will win the match. He will use a weapon (sledgehammer?) when the referee is not looking.
Dave Says: About the only chance Carlito has is if HHH is bound, gagged, shoved in a burlap sack, wrapped in chains and dipped up to his neck in concrete. Although he'd probably swing his big mellon around and pummel Carlito. This is your iron clad, gold star, blue ribbon pick of the PPV. HHH will not lose.

ECW Championship: CM Punk (c) vs. Elijah Burke
I Say:
Burke is not going to get the title. If they give the title to Burke it will almost look like the writers would rather put the title on anyone who's not C.M. Punk. My pick is C.M.
Dave Says: CM Punk will win.... and I don't care.

Summary
I picked Batista, Orton, Undertaker, Beth Phoenix, Cade & Murdoch, Hardy & MVP, Triple H, & C.M. Punk.
Dave picked: Batista, Cena, Undertaker, Beth Phoenix, Cade & Murdoch, Hardy & MVP, Triple H, & C.M. Punk.

It looks like the Cena v. Orton match will decide who gets more matches right. No ties this time.

TNA No Surrender 2007 Results

Team Pacman def. Angle & Sting
Rhino def. James Storm
Roode def. Kaz
Jay Lethal def. Angle
Chris Harris def. Black Reign
Styles & Tomko win the Tag Team Gauntlet
Christian Cage def. Samoa Joe
Angle def. Abyss

I picked 6/8 correct and Dave picked 1/4 correct.

The Special Announcement was that beginning in October TNA Impact goes 2 hours. Oh Great, Now I have to sift through 2 hours of shit instead of 1 to find the watchable 5 minutes. Also, there was no debut of the 'Former World Champion' that was promoted. Perhaps Brock Lesnar pulled the same thing that he pulled on WWE a few years back; He backed out at the last minute before he and TNA could put pen to paper. I think that WWE learned from that mistake. It seems like now they only promote things after all of the contracts are signed and details are worked out.

TNA No Surrender 2007 Predictions

I am forcing myself into doing picks for TNA's No Suurender. I'm going to make this short and sweet. I should note that Dave only predicted 4 matches because those were the only 4 matches announced when he submitted his pick. David, is there anything you would like to say?

Dave Says: Jesus Christ you gotta be fucking kidding me. Will Angle be doing the announcing? So Kurt Angle was forced out of the WWF because his body was so banged up and now he's going to wrestle in three of the four announced matches?

TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH:
Kurt Angle vs. Abyss
I Say:
Angle will win. I think that an Abyss DQ win is possible (Does the title change hands on DQs in TNA?) if Father Mitchell finally reveals his new 'monster' and he (monster) attacks Abyss.
Dave Says: I'll have to go with Angle.

TNA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH:
Kurt Angle & Sting vs. Ron “The Truth” Killings and Adam “Pacman” Jones
I Say:
This is going to be similar to the angle that they pulled with MVP in his tag team title match where he and Hardy won the belts. MVP didn't see any action in the match and only went in the ring to get the pin. Pacman will be playing MVP here. Killings does all of the work, or takes all of the bumps, and comes in to get the pin and win for his team. I am sure that TNA is hoping for some Sportcenter airtime with a Team Pacman victory.
Dave Says: Hmmm, Angle & Sting

TNA X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH:
Kurt Angle vs. “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal
I Say:
Angle wil drop this belt too leaving him with only one TNA belt. Perhaps Nash will get involved and help Black Machismo to get the win even though Nash is one of Angle's on-screen buddies.
Dave Says: Angle.

Kazarian vs. Robert Roode w/ Ms. Brooks
I Say:
The are teasing a Ms. Brooks face turn, but I'm going to say that she stays with Roode and gives him the win.
Dave Says: Angle in a shocking run-in.

“The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe vs. “The Instant Classic” Christian Cage
I Say:
I can't say who will win, but I like Cage so I'll pick him.
Dave Says: No Pick

“The War Machine” Rhino vs. “Cowboy” James Storm
I Say:
Who gives a shit? I don't watch alot of TNA and the TNA I do watch I usually fast-forward through it. I say that Rhino wins.
Dave Says: No Pick

No Disqualification: “Wildcat” Chris Harris vs. Black Reign
I Say:
Didn't Harris win their last match? I think so, so I will pick Black Reign to win. Did the origin of this feud ever get explained? Maybe I missed it.
Dave Says: No Pick.

10-Team Gauntlet Match with the winners getting a shot at the TNA World Tag Team Championship at Bound For Glory in October! The teams are as follows:
The Voodoo Kin Mafia
The Latin American Xchange
Team 3D
The Motor City Machineguns
Triple X
AJ Styles & Tomko
“The Guru” Sonjay Dutt & Petey Williams
Raven & Havok
Eric Young & Shark Boy
Lance Hoyt & the debut of Jimmy Rave

I Say: Who is Havok? Who is Jimmy Rave? Shark Boy is still around? I could go through the teams one by one and explain why or why not I will think that they wil or won't win, but that will take up too much time and I really don't care. I would pick LAX, but I'm sure that the 'stink' of Konnan is still on them and that doesn't exactly help their chances. So I will pick Triple X.
Dave Says: No Pick

Finally, TNA has sent out a mobile alert saying that there will be a 'Major Announcement' on the PPV. This will likely be that TNA is expanding to 2 hours and may or may not be changing networks. There is also a chance that the announcement will have something to do with the 'Former World Champion' that they have been negotiating with. Whenever I hear 'Former World Champion' I automatically think of when Mean Gene used that as a tease for people to call his WCW hotline. The former champion turned out being Dennis Rodman. Because of that I am always cautious when I hear that. If I had to guess I would have to say that it is Randy Savage, Sid, or Brock Lesnar.
