WWE Survivor Series 2007 Predictions

WWE Championship
Randy Orton (c) vs. Shawn Michaels
If Michaels attempts to use his Sweet Chin Music, he will be disqualified and will not receive another title shot as long as Orton is champion. If Orton attempts to get disqualified, he will lose the title.
I Say: I really don't see HBK winning the title in this match. However, I do think that he will win the match. I think that Orton will get countouted on purpose. In the event that HBK does get a the title it will be as a result of using the Superkick when the referee was distracted or knocked-out.
Dave Says: I'm going to have to go with Orton retaining the title.

Hell in a Cell match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Batista (c) vs. The Undertaker
I Say: Undertaker will get another title reign before he calls it quits. I am fairly certain that Undertaker will pick up the title at some point leading to him dropping the title at Wrestlemania. I don't care if 'Taker wins the title here, but I really don't want to see him end the streak to Batista. I really, really want to pick Undertaker, but I have a gut feeling that 'Taker's next title run will be at least one PPV cycle longer. I hope I'm wrong and Taker wins here.
Dave Says: Obviously the Hell in the Cell is a signiture Undertaker match so I'm going to have to go with the 'taker. I always choose against him when the title is on the line but I just don't see him losing.

(5 on 5) Survivor Series match
Team Triple H (Triple H, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Rey Mysterio, and Kane) vs. Team Umaga (Umaga, Mr. Kennedy, Montel Vontavious Porter, Finlay, and Big Daddy V) (w/Matt Striker)
I Say: Just like last year I am going to pick the team with Triple H on it. Yes, it's that simple.
Dave Says: Whenever I look at this match all I see is 'w/Matt Striker'. I mean why? Is he in the match? Is it six on five? Is he now managing? I mean what the hell. It's inexplicable. He was at the lumberjack match on RAW and get punched to the ground by HHH. Who booked that? Who said 'this match needs one more element, it needs Matt Striker'? Anyway, if Matt Striker is on your team you lose. It's funny. RAW has been showing classic videos of Survivor Series past and it really makes me long for some of the larger than life wrestlers that used to be in the WWF. Perhaps more than anything else this match shows how weak the current lineup of WWE wrestlers is.

Hornswoggle vs. The Great Khali (w/Ranjin Singh)
I Say: I am going to go with the obvious pick. Khali? No Way! Hornswoggle. By looking at the size difference between these two it looks like Khali would win in a squash (literally) so that means that the WWE will book the exact opposite - a Hornswoggle win. I predict that Hornswoggle will crawl under the ring, Khali will follow him under the ring, and then Hornswoggle will crawl out of the other side and into the ring to win by countout.
Dave Says: This will likely be a short squash. There certainly could be some kind of swerve but I suspect it's being created just to have Hornswoggle get destroyed so we can all feel bad for him.

Triple Threat match for the ECW Championship
CM Punk (c) vs. John Morrison vs. The Miz
I Say: I hope that now that Morrison and Miz won the tag titles from Matt Hardy and MVP on this week's Smackdown that the WWE isn't going to try to recycle/mirror the whole MVP/Hardy storyline where 2 rivals are tag champs together where one of them is also a singles champ. I don't think that WWE would be that stupid though, but maybe they are. I am going to pick Punk to win this match. It's a little too soon after Morrison's suspension to give him the ECW Title back and Miz just isn't world title material at this point (not that ECW is really considered a legit World Title by a whole lot of people).
Dave Says: I'll go with CM Punk this time.

10 Diva Tag Team Match
Beth Phoenix, Jillian Hall, Melina, Victoria, and Layla vs. Mickie James, Maria, Torrie Wilson, Michelle McCool, and Kelly Kelly
I Say: To my knowledge this isn't a Survivor Series-style elimination match. The results of these types of Diva matches don't usually have any rhyme or reason to them so there is no sense in trying to use logic, so I will just pick the heels with Beth Phoenix almost single-handedly (sic?) eliminating the faces.
Dave Says: I'll go with the good girls. That's right mysterious 'J' I'm choosing against Melina ('course that now means she is assured a victory)

World Tag Team Championship
Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch (c) vs. Cody Rhodes and Hardcore Holly
I Say: It looks like they are teasing a Cade and Murdoch split so I wouldn't be surprised if they lost, but I really don't see either Rhodes or Holly holding a WWE title ever. I will go ahead and say that the champs retain, but not before more teasing of a break-up.
Dave Says: What a bunch of hayseeds. I'll stick with the Redneck Wrecking Crew to get the job done although Cody Rhodes is starting to grow on me. Well, maybe not but it is nice to see a Rhodes who ISN'T obese.
